In reply to: Canna Peat Mix A&B OR Green Planet 3 part & Using Enzyme Products
April 2, 2024 at 3:04 pm #1323JoshKeymasterHi Riley,
Both those products will be fine directly in the reservoir, I would suggest that you don’t over complicate growing and adding too many items in your reservoir…. Pop onto the “AutoPot Users Group” on Facebook there are loads of members here who are very helpful as we are based in the UK and not fully up to speed on all the products you mention, they will be very helpful… regards Josh

March 24, 2024 at 12:38 pm #1319JoshKeymasterCould you advise where you are in the world, then I can direct you to the correct country, we are the manufacture and based in the UK. We would suggest that a phone call is set up as it is much easier to diagnose any issues this way.

March 24, 2024 at 12:35 pm #1317JoshKeymasterHi There….. I would suggest you use an EC/PPM pen to gauge the level of feed depending on the stage of the plants this is much more accurate as you don’t know what level EC/PPM the water is before you add fertiliser…. Bluelab is a good choice

January 16, 2024 at 6:59 am #1313JoshKeymasterHi Graeme,
Don’t use Vermiculite, clay pebbles/pumice should be pH stabilised first as they are very Alkaline….. don’t believe the packaging if it say “treated or pH stabilised”…. Perlite is better….. 50/50 is good … take a read through the catalogue on the UK website and also consider joining the FB AutoPot users group, they are very helpful too.

January 5, 2024 at 1:15 pm #1310JoshKeymasterHi Jackie, you can add a little hot water if the contents look a little dry but I would suggest after six month simply purchase another refill, glad you like the product.
JoshKeymasterHi … adding “cheese cloth will not stop roots from entering the AirDome and is not required, simply let the roots go into it you’ll be fine. Also to maximise the effectiveness make sure you use a nice open media … please see the catalogue on the website to see suggestions.
Regards Josh

December 6, 2023 at 7:23 pm #1303JoshKeymasterHi yes you can but turn the reservoir off first let the plants drink all the water and then move them. ensure that your highest tray is below the reservoir too
In reply to: Air pump size airdome
December 6, 2023 at 7:22 pm #1301JoshKeymasterHi look for a pump that can supply 1 ltr per minute to each air dome…. on larger systems you can mirror the water supply. for example use the larger pipe as the main pipe and reduce to the smaller pipe at each airdrome connection and just cap the end of the large pipe

November 27, 2023 at 12:16 pm #1294JoshKeymasterHi….. tray2grow should be turned on straight away, as it’s different in operation to the pot system or the way it delivers the water and feed

November 27, 2023 at 12:13 pm #1290JoshKeymasterHi Ideally turn of the reservoir let the plants drink all the water then add directly to the tray, don’t pour over the AQUAvalve ….. fill to AQUAvalve nozzle then leave for a few hours and repeat then turn on your reservoir 12 hours later or once the solution has been consumed.

In reply to: Airdome and air stone ph differences
October 28, 2023 at 9:37 am #1280JoshKeymasterHi ….. The pH change will be due to the type of growing media you are using….. ideally the perfect pH in the TRAYS is 6.3, you can check from time to time by taking a syringe sample after the water has been in the trays for an hour or so and test….. SO to counter act this lower your pH in your reservoir to hit the pH seed spot
